Our students engage in a balanced schedule from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, spending half of their day in engaging instruction and the other half gaining invaluable experience through internships. Paraprofessional Description:

As a Paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in supporting our educators and enhancing student learning. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing instructional and clerical support to teachers.
• Assisting students with class materials using tailored lesson plans and offering individualized attention both inside and outside the classroom.
• Preparing instructional materials, activities, and displays that inspire creativity and engagement.
• Supporting students with personal care and behavior programs as needed.
• Participating in developmental training, meetings, and special events to foster community involvement.

Paraprofessional Requirements:

• Two years of experience in Special Education.
• A valid Illinois Paraprofessional Certification.
• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (staff will be required to drive).
• Must obtain a Bus Driver certification or complete a bus driving class, including passing a written and driving test (Orchard Village will pay for the costs).
